WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CAMP VC ?

Check out our handy checklist on what’s a good idea (and not such a good idea) to bring along to the event for a comfortable and fun weekend)

____________________________

BRING IT!

  • Essentials:

    • Tent or Camper Van (if you have a camper pass!)

    • Photo ID – to prove you’re 18+ and for check-in.

    • Sleeping pad/air mattress

    • Warm sleeping bag + pillow – even in a glamping bell tent, you still need to bring these

    • Headlamp or torch – a must for late-night toilet trips and moving between the main site/ showers/ camping areas at night

    • Insect repellent – we're out in nature, the mozzies are too.

    • Portable phone charger - there are no charging stations on site and we’re using a digital booking system this year, so it’s essential.

    • A puck / flat rock for your motorcycle side stand. We are in a grass field so it's a great idea to keep your motorcycle safe and upright.

    Activity Gear & Clothing Checklist:

    • Be ready for all weather! Pack for warm days, rainy days, and chilly nights. A waterproof jacket and warm hat are essentials.

    • Swimwear – for relaxing if you’re planning to use the spa

    • Comfy/Activewear – ideal for layering under your riding gear and perfect for activities like Muay Thai or Yoga.

    • Wetsuit – not essential for the wild swim, but bring one if you’d feel more comfortable.

    • Skate Gear & Riding Kit – we’ll have loaner equipment available for all activities, but feel free to bring your own skateboard, skates, pads, motorcycle helmet, and riding gear if you’ve got them.

    • Yoga Mat – we’ll have some to borrow, but bring your own if you prefer.

    • Hiking Boots/Shoes or Trail Running Shoes - if you’re planning to join a hike or run

    • Football Boots or Trainers with Grip - for football

    • Circus Party outfit! Your outfit for the Camp VC Circus Themed Party on Saturday night. There’s always prizes for best dressed so pull out ALLLL the stops!

    • Clothing to Upcycle: From punk-style T-shirt makeovers to mending with embroidery, we’ve got a full lineup of upcycling workshops at Camp this year. Wanna get involved? Bring along any clothes that need a fresh lease of life!

    Personal Care:

    • Wet wipes (plastic free ones please!)

    • Toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

    • Towel for the showers

    • Sun cream – expect all the weather!

    Money:

    • Card payments are our preference, but please bring cash as a back-up.

    Extras:

    • Books to swap at the Baddies Book Swap in the Bad Bitch Assembly Tent: Bring along your favorite books written by, about, or for women and non-binary folks. Write a little note inside the front cover for the next reader, then swap it out for another gem from the shelf. Share the good word, people!

    • Finally ….Bring the good vibes :) Come with a smile, say hey to your neighbour and if you see someone flying solo introduce yourself!

    What should I leave behind:

    • Buddies without tickets! Yep, it’s happened before.

    • BBQs, open fires or any cooking apparatus to cook in the camping area (apart from those installed inside Camper Vans). This is at the request of our site owner. There is a real risk of wild fire in hot summer months at our venue so please leave them at home.

    • Non road registered motorcycles - As with any private site the rules and laws of the road still apply as per public roads so no insurance = no riding here.

    • Alcohol - Please don’t bring your own booze on site. Our Premises License depends on it!

We keep our drinks costs as low as possible (which other festival can you still get drinks for a fiver?!). Please respect the event and respect this rule. This year we will be running bag checks at the festival site entrance so leave it at home peeps.

    • Pets (except assistance dogs) - Please get in touch with us in advance to plan ahead if this is the case.

    • Signage, banners or anything to sell onsite.

    • Gazebos / Easy ups / awnings for your camper van.

    • Tents bigger than a 6 man tent.

    • Fire lanterns / fireworks / smoke bombs/ gas burners/ fire pits.

    • Illegal substances / drugs.

Will there be any men at the event?

CAMP VC is for Women, Trans Women and Non Binary People who are looking for the freedom and safety to explore action and adventure where they may otherwise not find opportunity to do so in this Man’s/Masculine dominated space.

Men and trans men aren’t able to join as participants, but we have a small number of guys as staff, instructors and vendors who help us make VC possible.  However, non essential teams are asked to leave the main event site overnight, from 7pm.

Can I ride my motorcycle on site?

  • Road-Registered Motorcycles can be ridden on site and parked up next to tents at a safe distance of 1.5m away for safety reasons.  A helmet must be worn at all times when riding anywhere onsite, you must abide by the rules of the road and the site has a 10 mph speed limit.

Can I bring my own booze and a camping stove?

  • Nope sorry. Check out our full list of ‘what to leave behind’ for other no nos.

Can I bring my Campervan awning or a gazebo?

Sorry, no awnings or gazebos! Your camper van pass comes with a 3m x 5m pitch so anything beyond your pitch size is a no go. We don’t have acres of room and we want to make sure everyone has enough space for their tents and bikes in the camping area.

What’s the max tent size I can bring?

You can bring anywhere between a 1 man to a 6 man tent.

I can no longer make it, can I get a refund?

Unfortunately tickets are NON REFUNDABLE but can be transferred into another name by getting in touch with us at hey@campvc.co.uk before the allocated ticket transfer deadline: 9am on Friday 11th July. After this time we can no longer accept ticket transfers. Soz peeps.

What do I do if I feel unwell on site?

We have our medic team on site based at the First Aid/ Welfare Tent.

In an emergency, please always also contact 999.

I’m coming solo, is that cool?

HELL YES! We have plenty of attendees who come alone every year and have the best time. They might come alone but they definitely leave with a ton of new pals. Head to the schedule and filter by ‘A MUST FOR SOLO ATTENDEES’ to check out our top picks for those flying solo.

I have a special diet, will I be able to buy food?

We have three awesome and award winning food vendors on site this year (check out the ‘Food’ section of the app to learn more) offering a broad range of food including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.

Can I purchase a car or camper van ticket when I arrive at CAMP VC?

You cannot buy car or camper van spaces on site. You must buy them in advance at https://www.campvc.co.uk/tickets-2025

Can I come and go from site?

Yes! It’ll be easy to enter/ exit the site (in fact - some of our activities like White Water Rafting and Canoeing have off-site meeting points) but please drive respectively, enter and exit quietly and be friendly to the locals who welcome us to their beautiful valley each year.

We have everything you need on-site though including a cheap bar, award winning food and free period products courtesy of our partner Moon Cup if you need them.

Someone in my group is under 18, is that okay?

  • Unfortunately not. Our license to run the event restricts us to attendees that are 18+.

There will be ID checks at the entry. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for ID.

As a reminder, here’s the T&Cs that were agreed to when you purchased your ticket:

  • If you have purchased a ticket on someone else’s behalf you are solely responsible for us at hey@campvc.co.uk with their name and email address information so that we can add them to the Camp VC attendee mail out (you’ll need to be on there to receive all class sign up info via email), so that they may be sent all event including important event class sign up info.

  • You must also follow the same procedure if you sell your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend the event.  If in the event you do not do this it is your responsibility to relay all event info including class sign up info to them personally so that they can book the classes that they would like to be a part of at the event.

  • Please be aware that if you have purchased a ticket second hand from someone else after Saturday the 6th July (when riding class sign ups open), riding classes may already be fully booked. It is the original ticket holder’s responsibility to make the new ticket holder aware that riding class sign up dates have passed and classes may be sold out. All other classes and workshops that require sign up open on Saturday July 12th @ 10am.

  • The deadline for ticket transfers is Friday 11th July 2025 @ 10am. We cannot accept any ticket transfers of any kind (including car and camper van passes) after this date.

  • Camp VC reserves the right to refuse admission to the ticket holder if in the reasonable opinion of Camp VC the admission of the ticket holder to the festival site might be a risk to the safety of other campers and/or the holder and/or affect the enjoyment of other campers and/or the running of the festival. For example, if the holder appears to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs and/or is acting aggressively. Strictly no illegal substances will be permitted into the festival site, persons entering the festival site may be searched as a condition of the festival premises licence.

  • Please be back on site before 9:30pm each night as the gates will be closed after this time. There will be overnight /late night / early am check in team that will be located in the sign in desk. This is also where you will find access to our onsite first aiders, official medics and fire emergency information so if anything arises, please do not hesitate to ask them for help at the desk or find a member of event staff who will radio for help in emergencies.

  • No tape or video recorders or professional photographic equipment for commercial use permitted without prior arrangement from Camp VC organisers.

  • Ticket and wristband holders consent to the photography, filming/sound recording of the event as festival attendees, which may be used for promotional purposes.

  • It is against the law to smoke or vape in enclosed spaces, please observe the signage around the festival site.

  • Attendees are responsible for the security of their motorcycles/ bicycles/cars and belongings onsite at the event. Please bring along a bike lock for your motorcycle/bike and do not leave valuables inside your car or accommodation as we cannot accept any responsibility for stolen or damaged vehicles / gear.

  • Camp VC is a safe, non judgmental, jealousy free space for Women and Non Binary People who are looking for the freedom and safety to explore action, adventure and motorsport where they may otherwise not find opportunity to do so in this Men’s/Masculine dominated space. We are an LGBTQIA+ Friendly event and have zero tolerance towards transphobia, sexism or racism of any kind.
