LEARNING TO RIDE- WHERE DO I START - WORKSHOP WITH VC
So you want to ride a motorcycle? Where do you start?
Finding out what training and tests you need can be a bit of a minefield. Claire is a qualified DVSA motorcycle instructor and will provide you with a clear path to get your full license and answer any questions that you may have.
MOTORCYCLE MANUNAL HANDLING WITH MOTO WORKSHOP
Does getting your bike in and out of a tight spot still give you the chills? Do you struggle with centre stands or worry about turning your bike round? Instructors Charlotte and Claire will be teaching a confidence building session on manual bike handling to show you that managing a heavy bike isn’t about strength, it’s all about technique.
You can use your bike or one of ours, but by the end of the class, you’ll have learned about balance points, leverage and how to position yourself during manoeuvring. We’ll show you a few tricks of the trade and get you much more comfortable with how to wrangle a big bike when you’re not actually riding it.

Come and listen to this inspiring talk by expert moto adventurer (and Llangollen local) Maja Kenny of Maja’s motorcycle adventures! this talk will encourage and inspire you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and find your adventure on two wheels!
Maja has been an adventurer since her teenage years. Hitchhiking and cycling across Europe was the low cost way of exploring Europe in her youth. Even when she started the family the travel bug didn't leave her and she took her 2-year old son on a round-the-world trip for 6 months. Once he became a teenager, Maja finally fulfilled her teenage desire to get a motorcycle. She got her licence at the age of 42 and since then, she has gone on many adventures across Europe and Australia.
Maja runs her own tour business, taking small groups on adventures anywhere in the world. She loves to inspire others to see life as an adventure and fill the everyday life with pockets of excitement to create those magical moments that stay with us forever!
HOW TO BECOME A MOTORCYCLE INSTRUCTOR TALK - WITH A BONEFIDE MOTO INSTRUCTOR (OR TWO!)
Ride a motorcycle? Ever fancied teaching others to do it? How do you even start? It's not very obvious and in such a male dominated industry it can sometimes be quite daunting. We need more female instructors! Claire and Charlotte are both DVSA qualified moto instructors and are on a mission to get more women on bikes and more women teaching others. They'll give you the low down on how to get into it, what to expect and answer any of your questions. Warning, there may be anecdotes..

If you sign up please make sure you attend as this class has limited places so your spot is very in demand!
Please show up to your workshop 15 minutes early at the VC Moto tent so we can get rolling on time!
PLEASE NOTE that to book a class you must already be a ticket holder for the event & you can only sign yourself up to a class (friends must sign up for themselves even if you purchased a ticket on their behalf - this gives everyone a fair chance to bag the class they want) .
