We’re so stoked to be able to offer quad skating lessons for the first time EVER at Camp VC 2024 in collaboration with amazing team at The Skate Scholarship who are coming to town running FREE quad skating sessions throughout the weekend!
With everything from beginner skate sessions, more advanced sessions to help you drop into our mini ramp and open skate mornings and skate jams there’s loads to get involved with no matter your level!
For beginners’ lessons skates are provided (you’ll need to let us know your size when you sign up) but for more advanced sessions and ramp lessons you will need your own skates so please bare this in mind.

LEARN TO ROLLERSKATE WORKSHOP
Perfect for complete beginners the beginner skate session with The Skate Scholarship you'll learn how to get rolling (and stopping) safely!
Skate hire is included in your lesson but you'll need to let us know your size so please do this when booking!
INTERMEDIATE ROLLER DANCE CLASS
This Rollerdance Masterclass is a great way to expand on your skills and learn a new trick or two from the team at The Skate Scholarship. - This class is open to confident skatersmore with advanced skate skills. - This is a bring your own skates session (skates are not supplied)

BEGINNERS INTRO TO RAMP SKATING SESSION
Learn how to start out quad skating on a ramp from The Skate Scholarship team as they take you through the basics of ramp safety, how to pump to the coping, how to fall safely and how to use toe stops on ramp. To join this class you can be a beginner but must be confident on the flat land area first.
Skate hire is included in your lesson but you'll need to let us know your size so please do this when booking! iPlease note that this class is weather dependent as it is presented outdoors.
INTERMEDIATE RAMP TRICKS CLASS
Bring your own skates for this intermediate session on the skate ramp where you'll be learning everything from coping stalls, how to drop in and tricks inside the ramp.

QUAD BEGINNERS DROP IN MASTERCLASS
Wanna learn how to drop in? Let The Skate scholarship take you through how to safely learn! This session is open to those pretty new to quad skating but you must be confident on the flat ground on roller skates to be able to take part. This is a bring your own skates session.

FREE SKATE MORNING SESSIONS
Grab a coffee and bring it by for a skate and hang session the ramp and flat-ground - There is no coaching available at these sessions so you must have previous experience and be comfortable on roller skates and bring your own along - No need to sign up online, but a disclaimer must be filled in at the event to get a wristband to skate.
SKATE JAM!
Skate your socks off and win some prizes! Everyone is welcome to come along and get involved. You must be a competent skater to enter and you’ll need your own skates. No need to sign up online, but a disclaimer must be filled in at the event to get a wristband to skate.
IMPORTANT CLASS INFO
This year our mini ramp is located outdoors so all ramp classes are subject to weather restrictions. If the team find the weather unsafe to skate in we will do our best to delay the session to a later / more suitable time but the instructors reserve the right to cancel sessions if it is unsafe to skate.
Quad skating classes and workshops are free but sign up is required to attend. You don’t have to sign up for the open skate sessions. Just check the schedule and drop by!
If you sign up please make sure you attend as this is a very popular class so your spot is very in demand!
Please show up to your workshop 15 minutes early so we can get rolling on time!
PLEASE NOTE that to book a class you must already be a ticket holder for the event & you can only sign yourself up to a class (friends must sign up for themselves even if you purchased a ticket on their behalf - this gives everyone a fair chance to bag the class they want) .
Please also remember that you can only book on this class once per person to give a chance to everyone who would like to attend to book in. Thanks!
