“TICKET FOR TEACHING”

WORKSHOP HOSTS 2026

MOTO & AUTO | SPORT & FITNESS | CREATIVITY & INSPO | STYLE & BEAUTY  |  PARTY & ENTERTAIN | WELLNESS & PLEASURE

From its inception in an East London car park, with women teaching each other to ride motos, Camp VC has been built on our community sharing their skills and bringing their energy to the party!

Now in its 10th year, Camp VC has grown into a 3 day festival experience, made possible by a combination of paid crew, incredible volunteers, and workshop hosts sharing their skills in exchange for their ticket to the event.

‘Workshops’ at Camp VC cover everything from talks, inspiration, demos and games to have-a-go experiences. Think bushcraft and life-drawing to trail running, plumbing, mechanics, dance, self-love, style combat, and everything in between!

The majority of Workshops need to accommodate at least 30 participants, and we’re actively seeking ideas for sessions that can host a much higher number of participants without losing the magic. Check out our ‘Whats On’ for inspo. We understand that certain activities are only suitable for smaller groups (e.g.: due to the size of the tent available or other limiting factors such as kit, safety or insurance) so we’re open to smaller group activities too.

You can play your part in creating our epic world of adventure, where all our women and non-binary folks leave feeling like nothing is impossible!

WHAT YOU’LL GET FROM US

  • Your Camp VC event ticket: You can book into included activities (excluding beginners’ skate lessons*) around your scheduled workshops, and will have access to the same number of activities as a paying attendee. Just a reminder that the full schedule is set before bookings open for activities.  If you’re worried about the classes you'll teach clashing with activities you want to attend, then we suggest buying a ticket instead!

  • Paid activities: Like all attendees, you’ll have the opportunity to book into any paid activities, such as Moto Lessons or White Water Rafting, again these will need to be booked around your Workshop Schedule.

  • Crew hub access: Access to free hot drinks on demand and a chilled place to hang out with other crew.

  • Travel contribution: £40 incl. VAT per person towards travel expenses.

  • Materials & equipment: We’ll provide the right kit for you, or reimburse any pre-approved expenses for materials and equipment.

  • Being part of the magic: Experience the unique feeling of helping make Camp VC possible!

  • On-site support & briefing: We’ve got your back! From volunteers helping with queues and workshop setup to a heads-ups on attendees needing extra support, we’re here to help you deliver your best workshop. On arrival, we’ll give a clear briefing covering everything from inclusive language to fire exits and how to report any inappropriate behaviour…and everything in between! Each Workshop Host will have a dedicated ‘Tent Manager’ that they’ll report to.

  • Free car Parking, moto parking or camper van passes: parking and camper van passes are free to Workshop Hosts, but do need to be reserved and issued in advance.

  • Camp VC 2026 event poster!

*Beginners’ skate is the only activity reserved for paying ticket holders only. ‘Ticket for Teaching’ Workshop Hosts are still able to take part in intermediate or advanced skate lessons and skate jams.

Just a heads up! Some of our crew members will be working hours at the event that make it tough (or impossible) for them to book or enjoy activities once the event opens to the public. To make sure they don’t miss out, we’ll be offering them exclusive access to a few activities on Thursday afternoon and evening. This won’t be available to Workshop Hosts, who have plenty of opportunities to take part in activities during the event.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Arrival: All Workshop Hosts must be on-site by 3pm Thursday 23rd July in time for the crew briefing. We’ll need you on-site until you’ve finished the Workshops you’re scheduled to teach (but most people - of course - stay until the end of the event which is 5pm on Sunday 26 July 26).

  • Hours: Workshop Hosts need to deliver at least 6 hours of teaching during the event. How you reach this depends on your sessions - for example, two 3-hour drop-ins or six 1-hour classes. Most workshops will run between 9am - 6pm, some workshops will run between 6pm - 9pm (for example, the likes of drag king workshops, cocktail making or ‘bring a drink’ still life drawing). You should be prepared that your schedule may include evening work and liaise with your Zone Manager to confirm requirements.

  • Expertise: Quality is really important to us. We need our Workshop Hosts to be passionate experts with credible experience.

  • Values aligned: We want all our women and non-binary attendees to feel their most free and their most safe at the same time. This should be reflected in the inclusive teaching styles and adaptations offered.

  • Equipment & materials: Some workshops will require participants to use your equipment. If you agree to this, you’re responsible for ensuring that it is fit for its intended purpose and if it’s electrical that it’s been PAT tested. We have some designated storage spaces for equipment, but can’t be held liable for any loss or damage to equipment you agree to use at the event. For some activities, we’ll agree to buy the equipment and/ or materials you need. Most often we will place the order for you. If agreed in advance, you can place the order and use original receipts to claim a refund. Camp VC owns any materials or equipment we pay for, so they must not be removed from the event site.

  • Invoice: After the event, you can invoice us for pre-approved expenses for materials and equipment and your £40 travel expenses allowance. Invoices need to be made out to VC London Ltd, 20 Wenlock Street, London, N1 7GU and will be paid within 7 days of receipt. Email them to fayemouse@campvc.co.uk and gemma@campvc.co.uk

  • Flexibility & commitment: We’re juggling a schedule of hundreds of activities. You can express a preference, but we can’t guarantee at what time your Workshops will be scheduled. If Workshop Hosts drop out it can have a domino-effect across the schedule. Please think carefully and only commit if you’re sure you can make it!

  • Bio and class descriptions: We will ask you for a bio and a description of your class, which we’ll edit for use inside of the app and/ or on our website.

  • Insurance & Liability: Most Workshop Hosts will automatically be covered under Camp VC’s Event Insurance, but certain specialist or higher risk activities, in particular those using specialist equipment or tools, will need your own £10M public liability insurance policy. If it’s not reasonable for you to already hold insurance, we can arrange a policy for you - or you can take one out and be reimbursed. This is agreed activity by activity

  • Accommodation & Parking: we don’t offer accommodation, so we need you to bring your own Tent or Camper Van. See ‘what you get from us’ for more info on Parking and Camper Van passes.

  • Food: Some crew at the event will receive their meals and snacks, this doesn’t apply to Workshop Hosts as they can - outside of their teaching hours - enjoy the event as participants. You’re welcome to bring your own food with you, or enjoy the fantastic food vendors. We don’t allow Camping Stoves though.

  • Code of Conduct: All of our crew, which includes Workshop Hosts, must agree to our Code of Conduct.

If you’re invited to join the team, we’ll ask you to complete a Google Form to confirm your agreement to these terms and share any information we need to support you, such as accessibility requirements.
