Event Waiver

The safety of our attendees is our top priority, but due to the nature of an adventure festival it is not possible to eliminate all risks associated with attendance. By choosing to attend, attendees acknowledge these risks and accept that participation is a voluntary decision.

For this reason, all attendees will be sent the Event Waiver by email and must provide a digital signature before the event. As set out in our Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel and refund tickets if the Waiver is not signed within 72 hours of receipt.

A copy of the Waiver is provided below for reference. We reserve the right to make changes prior to issuing it for signature, provided that such changes do not materially alter its content.

I understand that many of the activities offered at Camp VC—both on-site and at designated off-site locations—involve inherent risks to participants and spectators. These activities include, but are not limited to: skateboarding and quad skating (flatland and ramps), white water rafting and canoeing, mountain biking, e-bike riding, BMX riding, and use of cycling pump tracks, hiking, trail running, foraging, and forest bathing, wood carving, fire building, fire walking, craft workshops and electrical workshops involving specialized knives and tools and/or power tools, archery and axe throwing, open water swimming, motorcycle riding and mechanics workshops.

Activities are delivered by ‘“Activity Leaders”: individuals and / or organisations who possess the appropriate skills, knowledge and experience to safely lead an activity (either at the Event Site, or at a designated off-site location) and are appointed to do so by or on behalf of the Organiser.

I acknowledge that participation in or spectating these activities  carries with it risks that we cannot entirely eliminate, including but not limited to: death, temporary or permanent paralysis, electrical shock, disability, illness or disease, mental or physical trauma, damage to personal property or equipment, and other losses.

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Organiser and its directors, freelance contractors, suppliers, officers, volunteers, employees and all other representatives of it, Activity Leaders, and One Giant Leap Llangollen Ltd, as well as other parties and their representatives involved in delivering the Event, (together the “Indemnified Parties”), from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or other claims or demands arising from or related to my participation in the Event, except where such liability arises from gross negligence.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and I fully understand that by signing this document, I am waiving my right to pursue future legal claims against the Indemnified Parties.
