Camp VC would be IMPOSSIBLE without our incredible event volunteers who share their skills and time, in exchange for their free ticket to Camp VC. Win/Win! This year, we’re aiming for at least 50% of our volunteer team to come from Wales. Sign up with your mates, or give it a go solo and leave with lifelong friends! You’ll be part of creating something genuinely special - but don’t just take our word for it… hear more from our attendees, crew, volunteers, and activity leaders below!
“Having Camp VC in Wales genuinely feels like such a privilege. When you grow up in Wales, you can easily forget how amazing it is to get to live and work here. Until you get to Camp VC and meet people from all over the world who’ve made the journey to spend a weekend in our back garden. Seeing the landscape through their eyes honestly makes you feel a pang of pride knowing that you get to say ‘I’m a local’.
This year in my volunteering role I got to engage with the local community and shine a spotlight on some amazing local organisations we have. I also had a boots on the ground role throughout the festival which meant I got to see the fruits of everyone’s labour too and add some essential skills to my CV aswell.
One of my favourite things about the festival is trying new things. I got to ride a motocross bike and can’t begin to explain the confidence it gave me. So much so… I’m looking to book in my CBT. Something I would have never have done if I hadn’t been surrounded by other women who made it look so easy and ask the question ‘why not me?’
I think the festival shines a light on the Dee Valley, a sometimes forgotten oasis and shows that we’re more than capable of holding amazing events. I think Camp VC also brings in people who want to understand and respect the local area and the people that live within in too. For locals, knowing you don’t have to travel far to experience such a life changing festival really is the cherry on top of the cake” - Chloe, from Wales.

We’d LOVE to hear from local street food and coffee vendors, as well as staff caterers. PLUS there are heaps of other opportunities for local businesses to bring their services on site - such as massage, hairdressing and beauty. If you’re a local business with something excellent and exciting to offer, drop us a line. We’re always open to new ideas that benefit local businesses and bring something special to our attendees.
Lead Activities
We offer a broad range of activities - from DIY skills to embroidery, and from white-water rafting to choir practice…and everything inbetween! Whether you’re an individual with a skill to share or a fully fledged adventure company, we’d love to hear from you about the activities you could lead at Camp VC. We’re proud to already be working in partnership with these brilliant local organisations.
