Camp VC is powered by women and non-binary people who show up for each other. As a volunteer, you’re not just supporting the event, you’re going to be shaping the experience, the atmosphere, and the feeling people take home with them.

This page is your go-to space for everything you should need to feel prepared.

We’ll keep updating it over the coming weeks - so feel free to check back regularly, and we’ll email when key info is added.

FESTIVAL DATES

Thursday 23rd July - Arrival, induction, training, crew activities + welcome dinner - exact arrival times will be case by case so check your personal schedule email

Friday 24th July - Festival opens

Sunday 27th July - Festival closes and initial breakdown - exact leaving times will be case by case so check your personal schedule email

Monday 28th July (optional) - Final pack-down (a small number of crew)

A mini checklist of tasks between now and Camp:

Before June 23rd, 2026

  • Save festival dates in your calendar, and book time off work if applicable!

  • Remind yourself what you get as a Volunteer (see below)

WHAT YOU GET AS A VOLUNTEER

Your time and energy mean everything to us — and we make sure you’re looked after.

Here’s what you’ll get as a Camp VC 2026 Volunteer:

NEW FOR 2026:

  • Thursday Crew-only activities - Before the gates open on Friday, Volunteers and Crew will get exclusive access to a handful of Camp VC’s most popular activities during downtime on Thursday afternoon.

  • A Volunteer / Crew base to chill and meet others helping to make the festival happen. This will also be where you can grab some food/drink.

  • Thursday Volunteers’ Welcome Dinner - Once Thursday’s set-up duties are wrapped, we’ll all come together for a special Volunteers’ Welcome Dinner to kick off the weekend.

ALSO THIS:

  • We encourage you to enjoy the festival around your shifts (Fri–Sun) - On top of Thursday’s exclusive access to activities, during the festival itself, Volunteers will be able to access:

    • One pre-booked included activity of choice (free)

    • One paid for activity of choice (paid by you)

    • All walk-up activities (free), plus any pre-book activities with space on the day

  • You’ll also receive the following:

    • Free camping - pitch up, settle in, and make the hills your home for the weekend

    • Free meals on the days you work - fuel to keep you energised and feeling good. We’ll provide a combination of help yourself “grab and go” breakfast/lunches and cooked meals in the evening

    • Training & new skills - from bar basics to event operations - we’ll show you what you need to know

    • See how the magic happens - get behind-the-scenes experience of what it takes to pull off a major event

    • Community & connection - Join a powerhouse Crew of women and NBi people who’ve got your back, and the potential of making life long mates

    • Being part of the whole journey - from Thursday’s set up, to Sunday’s finale (or Monday morning pack-down if you can stay on)


YOUR VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

Roles, Responsibilities & Code of Conduct

As part of the Camp VC crew, we ask all volunteers to read and sign our Volunteer Agreement. This brings together everything you need to know about your role, what’s expected of you, and the standards we uphold as a community.

FAQ’s

ROLES & TRAINING

  • Your role has been assigned based on your skills, experience, and preferences shared during the application process. You should have received an email with the specifics.

  • Yes, to varying levels depending on your role. We’ll make sure you feel fully prepared before the festival kicks off.

  • You can expect a mix of:

    • Virtual meet the team and pre-brief (date coming soon)

    • Thursday: on-site induction and onboarding

    • Friday/Saturday/Sunday: role-specific briefings (as required)

SHIFTS & WORKING

  • All volunteers are expected to complete a minimum of 3 shifts, each 6-8 hours long, between Thursday and Sunday.

  • This has already been sent to you. The rota will also be pinned up in the Crew Hub on site.

  • A real mixture of hard work and fun. Every person's experience is different, but we can guarantee you'll have a brilliant team around you and a lot of fun supporting our community on site.

  • Please report to the Crew Hub at the beginning of each shift. (Exact location will be shared closer to the event.)

    • Arrive on time and ready to go

    • Take breaks as agreed with the team leader

    • Complete proper handovers

    • Stay engaged and present throughout

  • Please let your team lead know as soon as possible. Missing multiple shifts without notice may result in removal from your volunteer role and a request that you leave the site.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

  • Exact arrival times will be on a case by case basis but everyone should be on site by 3pm on Thursday 23rd July for a team briefing.

  • Head to Volunteer Check-In upon arrival.

    (Exact location will be shared closer to the event.)

  • Sunday departures will be on a case by case basis and you will be informed individually of your schedule. Optional: stay until Monday midday to support with pack-down.

FOOD, FACILITIES & WELFARE

  • Yes — food and drink is provided on your working days, including:

    • Tea and coffee

    • Grab & go options

    • Cooked evening meals

  • You’ll have access to:

    • The Crew Hub (shared with all other Crew on site)

    • Toilets and showers

    • A dedicated volunteer/staff camping area

  • The Crew Hub is your space to:

    • Rest between shifts

    • Eat and hydrate

    • Connect with other volunteers

  • You will be asked about any access needs before the event.

    Support will be available on site throughout the event. This includes both medical and mental health support - you will be directed to the location of relevant people as part of your on site briefing.  

    There is also a calm space available for all attendees. 

    If you need anything specific, speak to your team lead.

ENJOYING THE FESTIVAL

  • We encourage you to enjoy the festival around your shifts (Fri–Sun) - On top of Thursday’s exclusive access to activities, during the festival itself, Volunteers will be able to enjoy:

    • One pre-booked activity of choice

    • One paid for activity of choice, and

    • All walk-up activities, plus any pre-book activities with space on the day.

    We will let you know when our activity booking app is up and running so you can plan activities around your shifts.

PACKING

  • Please see our packing list on our general FAQ’s page.

    As a volunteer its important to plan for all weather conditions. You will also need sturdy footwear. Any role-specific items will be provided to you unless specified otherwise.

COMMUNICATIONS

  • We’ll keep in touch through a mix of:

    • Email updates 

    • Updates to this page 

    • WhatsApp groups - will be set up before Camp (team specific) and used throughout the weekend

    • Virtual team call - for any pre-briefing/training

    • On-site briefings
